House Rules Eemsdelta Housing

  • Keep the property clean and tidy.
  • No smoking inside.
  • No open flames or candles allowed.
  • No parties or loud noise, especially during quiet hours (22:00 – 07:00).
  • Drug use or possession is strictly prohibited inside and outside of the house.
  • Dispose of waste properly and recycle when possible.
  • Turn off lights, heating, and appliances when leaving the property.
  • Don’t manipulate the central heating system and thermostat.
  • The WIFI code can be found on the router.
  • Don’t place electrical heaters in the house. They consume a lot of energy and can be a potential fire hazards. When found Eemsdelta Housing will remove the heaters.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Please leave the keys behind in the key safes if present. When not present please inform Eemsdelta Housing where you left them. Not handing back keys can cost up to € 75,-.
  • Excessive energy costs will be charged.
  • Use gas, water and electricity wisely. Don’t set the thermostat too high (max. 22 degrees). When you are not present in the house please turn the thermostat to 16 degrees.
  • Damages to the property or its provided facilities will be charged to all occupants.
  • If more people are found in a home than previously agreed, the extra person(s) will be charged retrospectively at a rate of € 50,00,- per person per day, starting from the commencement date of the lease.
  • The house is provided with private internet and television. In case of misuse, theft or loss of the modem, Eemsdelta Housing will charge € 200,-.
  • Most municipalities require you to separate waste: Paper, residual and biodegradable waste. Please dispose the waste in the right bins.
  • The additional cleaning costs associated with anti-social behaviour of tenants will be charged by Eemsdelta Housing.
  • Cost of damages caused by anti-social behaviour of tenants will be charged by Eemsdelta Housing.
  • It is strictly prohibited to paint, drill or hammer holes in the walls, or otherwise damage the accommodation. Hanging paintings, applying stickers, or making any similar alterations is also not allowed.
  • The accommodation is upholstered, furnished, and equipped with an inventory. All items are in good and proper condition. Should new tenants find any damage or defects upon arrival, they must report this to Eemsdelta Housing within 24 hours.
  • Staying in the house is at your own risk. Residents are personally responsible for any private belongings they bring with them.
